Rodrigo Hernandez Rodri is a big fan of the Premier League and calls it the best league for professional footballers.

Manchester City and Spain midfielder Rodrigo Hernandez Rodri has named the Premier League as the best league for footballers, as people focus more on the game than anything else, according to Cadena Ser on Friday.

Rodri is the first Spanish player to win the Ballon d’Or in 64 years since legendary Spain striker Luis Suarez became the first and only winner of the award in 1960. He believes there is no better stage for footballers than the Premier League.

‘I think as a footballer there is no better place than England to play football. In England the focus is always on football, whereas in Spain I think there is always noise outside the pitch,’ Rodri explained.

Although Rodri has admitted he would consider an offer from Real Madrid if Los Blancos came calling, the 28-year-old midfielder is more likely to play in the Premier League for the rest of his career.

‘I’m not one to set long-term goals. I take it day by day, but finishing there is possible. I love English football. This club is great, not just on a sporting level but also on a structural level.’

‘I feel very comfortable and I feel very loved, but Spain is my country. I also have my eye on La Liga. The level of UFABET the team is growing. I’m lucky enough to play in both leagues, have the best coaches and in that sense I’m very happy.’
