Lionel Messi has hailed Barcelona under Hansi Flick and praised the youngsters who have made it into the current squad.
Barcelona legend Lionel Messi has hailed his former club under German coach Hansi Flick and the growth of several young players who have made it through to the current squad, Barcelona-based TV3 reported on Friday.
‘My children are Catalan, I’ve spent most of my life there. The truth is that I feel like I’m from Barcelona and I could go there anytime, because my children, my wife and I miss life in Barcelona so much. Because we have friends there, we leave many things there,’ Messi said.
The Argentine forward also hailed Barcelona’s early-season form and the growth of several young players in the current squad.
‘They look great and it’s not surprising because it’s not new, it’s been happening all my life, or at least since I came to Barcelona when I was 13.’
‘For me it’s great that the boys have had the opportunity for two or three years now. When they get the chance and the confidence, they respond in this way because they know the club better than anyone else and because they’ve been used to playing in this way since they were young. And when they’re together these Promotion ufabet things happen, just like they’ve done in other eras.’
